DESCRIPTION The Civil Engineer II will be a Land Development lead project engineer for all aspects of planning, design and plan preparation for a variety of residential,commercial and mixed-use development projects. Responsibilities include civil design for street, sewer, water and storm drain improvement plans,hydrology and hydraulic calculations, and rough and precise grading.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS •You’ll need a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with coursework relevant to working in the transportation engineering field •6-8 years of relevant experience and California P.E. license. •You’ll need to demonstrate an eagerness to learn and apply your engineering skills to develop creative problem-solving designs. •The ability to communicate and effectively participate as part of an engineering team is critical.
PREFERENCES •Strong technical background in Land Development •Proven track record of increasing levels of responsibility •Experience supervising junior-level staff •Experience interfacing with clients •Excellent communication skills
